Retales

So, on my first real day at the boutique, I didn’t make any sales. I was there for four hours and didn’t sell a single thing. I wasn’t sure what I was doing wrong. I chatted with customers and tried to seem down to earth despite my sky-high heels.

I guess I was coming on too strong for such a small space. The next time I came in, I just gave the usual greeting and tried to seem busy but approachable. I exceeded my sales goal by $100+. Granted, we were also having a lovely sale.

It seems rude to not interact with customers, but this is perfect for me because I’m no salesperson. I can’t even sell myself at interviews.

So, tell me about yourself.

I like to bake. Oh gawd, that’s irrelevant. I mean, I’m subtly trying to bribe you…

Now I just sing along to songs and enjoy myself while trying to seem like I’m doing something important.
